Kuvaus

A fascinating object where the science of the past meets the practicality of everyday life. Resting on a sturdy stand, this table clock features a rotating front that alternates between a classic dial and an ornate compass rose, giving the impression of both a measuring instrument and a decorative piece. The large magnifying glass enhances the sense that the clock could have been a tool in a laboratory or observatory, crafted in a time when curiosity and the spirit of discovery propelled the world forward.Historically, similar instruments were used by cartographers and astronomers during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. A combination of precision and visual clarity was essential to their work, which explains why many such objects combined optics and measurement. This is a true conversation piece with soul and heritage, where every detail whispers of timeless craftsmanship.
